12岁的Victor在曼彻斯特参加了两周曼城足球营。他非常享受在营地的时光，不仅体验了正宗的英式足球课，还通过语言学习课程提升了英语能力呢。参加过曼城足球营后，Victor对足球的热情空前高涨，自我感觉足球水平显著提升。
This was the first time I came to UK. My mom signed me up for Manchester City Football Camp. I am not sure if Manchester City Football Club is the best club in the world. However I am pretty sure that it is the best club in UK. I took a 4-hours long journey to get to Manchester from London before I arrived at the camp. Then, I went to a science museum where I saw a lot of my old friends from Shrewsbury Summer School. I even saw Jeremy! Jeremy was from Poland. He was 16 years old. He was my best friend in Shrewsbury Summer School. I was surprised to see so many of my friends in the museum. After I got out of the museum, my mom called a taxi and brought me to the Manchester City football club. I was very excited when I got in the building, because it looked very cool inside. There were a lot of images of players that I knew from Manchester City.
At about 4:00, the teacher brought us to the cinema. I really wanted to watch the film “Avengers Endgame”. But the problem was that we spent too much time arguing, so the teacher just chose a film randomly. It was “Captain Marvel”, which was not bad. From Monday on, we had the same schedule every day until Friday. We had 3 hours of English class and 3 hours of football training every day. In the evening we had evening activities from 7:00 to 9:00. During the English class, we learned about Manchester City FC. We talked about the team and the players. We learned about commentary. At the end of each day, we did a Kahoot quiz about what we learned. I enjoyed doing football quiz. During the football training, we learned new skills. When we finished playing a match, our coach would explain how we could do better next time. The coach made fair teams and let the captain to choose the professional team names like Man City, Juventus, and Barcelona… I was often the captain.
On Saturday, we went to the Alton Tower. Alton Tower was a big amusement park. It was as big as Disneyland. I played there for about 6 hours. We had to walk in at least a group of 3. I played a very fun and scary roller coaster which was called the Smile. When the roller coaster turned rapidly, I felt that my heart was gone! I closed my eyes and heard all the screaming around me. It was very fun and it was the most exciting roller coaster I had in my life. On Sunday, we went to the Etihad Stadium. I found the stadium was so big and so fun! There were a lot of seats and a lot of stuff used for training. This was the best stadium I had ever seen. I hope I could play a match here some day in future. Then we had the normal schedule from Monday to Thursday. On Friday, we had only 45 minutes of English class and 45 minutes of football training. After that, we went to the Etihad stadium for ceremony and got our certificates.
After that, we had our chill out in our house for 3 hours. I had fun playing games with my friends. At night, we watched the first game of Premier League-Liverpool vs Norwich. The score of the match was 4-1 for Liverpool. I was pretty sure that Manchester City would win the League after I watched the game Liverpool vs. Manchester City, because Manchester City beat Liverpool even when it was away! On the last day, all of my friends left after they finished their breakfast. I went back to get my luggage and waited for my mom to pick me up. I really want to bring my little brother Frank to this camp next year. He would love it! I can’t wait to be back to Man City with Frank!
