今年暑假，9岁的Steven和妈妈一起参加了一周西雅图夏令营+一周美西游，加州给他留下了深刻的印象。回国后，他分别用中文海报和英文周记，记录了他在加州的所见所闻。

加州在哪儿

    加州是美国的一个州，在美国的西南部，有九个城市，是一个比较大的州。加州的南边和墨西哥连着，西部是海岸，海滩上很美丽，还有好玩的主题公园。

环球影城

    在加州的好莱坞有一个环球影城，里面有很多电影主题的乐园，例如侏罗纪公园、哈利波特、变形金刚等；我只去了一个，可是应该都很好玩。好莱坞的环球影城是环球公司在世界上建造的第一个影城，里面的内容都是环球公司最真实、原本的内容。好莱坞的环球影城还有带有中文解说的游览车，游览时可以看到很多真实场景和体验，让你感受到演员和明星在台上的感觉和环球影城优良的视觉效果。

美国海军

    美国拥有强大的海军，有十二个海军舰队和十艘航空母舰，我去参观了一艘已经退役的USS中途航空母舰，上面有很多战斗机，还有侦察机和轰炸机。那艘航空母舰很大，里面有很大的空间，上面还有宽阔的飞机跑道，美国人能造出十艘航空母舰，可真不容易啊！

乐高乐园

    乐高乐园是美国圣地亚哥一个很著名的乐园，里面有很多关于乐高的活动和惊人的乐高模型。最近新出了一个“忍者过山车”。我不太喜欢过山车，于是没去坐。你还可以在一个巨大的模型下做一个小模型，留下一个记号，我觉得这个想法很不错，于是在下面做了一个。

My American Trip

I was sitting at the back of the car feeling like I was about to doze off, I had to hold it.

Our first destination was the Apple Company, we didn’t go inside; that wasn’t very much, the first few computer company visits were nothing to me, though, except that it was quite fascinating. Stanford University was what felt like a tour through a town or something, it was a big university, the thought of going to a university like that seemed to be a lot to take in. However, my dream university was still MIT, it was nothing like a normal one, but more like a cool computer lab, I’m really into computers, they are the spark of technology in my mind.

The next day was in San Francisco, it was more like a market in London than a downtown in America, there are all sorts of circuses and a huge sailing boat harbor, and, of course, lots and lots of interesting little shops with interesting little stuff like candies and ice creams, it made me forget where I am. Then there was this narrow curvy road, cars were inching slowly on the beautifully decorated, narrow road - a mini traffic jam. Watching the highly skilled drivers move along the path of flowers, I wondered if my dad could ever get through that attic path with his huge Audi Q5, maybe not.

We arrived in Los Angles a few days later, it was still American downtown everywhere, except the posters and the building names were different, at first, all I cared about was my favorite American football team - LA Galaxy. The main highlight in this city was the Universal Studios Hollywood, all that Jurassic Park Ride was really amazing, and actually feeling the holograms moving and the stage do a series of life like movements was a real experience for a ten-year-old boy who watched so many movies.

San Diego was a true wonderland, the best was the totally incredible Legoland, I’d imagine there isn’t any theme parks better than that, during the time in, I witnessed what Lego really could do. There was all sorts of amazingly big Lego models made out of what looked like half a dozen tiny Lego bricks, I shared part of the job, too; I also built a little bit under a large ninja model, but it ended up looking like nothing compared to the huge ninja. USS Midway was also a cool thing, it was a huge aircraft carrier with cool bombing jets and huge radars, it will be an awesome feeling to drive a huge thing that fights amazingly.

America was an unforgettable experience, there I witnessed the truly amazing things that I always wanted to.
